Wrap up for the cold weather

Now that the weather is starting to turn colder, please provide warm clothing for your children to wear for outdoor play, they may also bring wellies if they wish.

 

Ad-hoc sessions

Ad-hoc sessions are usually available. 

 

Session times and fees are as follows:-

 

Morning session                  (£11.00)        09.00am – 12.00 noon

Afternoon session               (£12.00)        12.00 noon – 3.15pm

 

Please note that the afternoon session includes a lunch hour so a packed lunch should be provided.

 

If you would like to book your child into one of these sessions, please just ask in Pre-School.

 

Safety

Please be aware that play on the Pre-School equipment outside session times is at your own risk.

 

Applications to Lower School 

Applications for children starting Lower School Reception class in September 2012 must be with the local authority by 15th January 2012. See notices in Pre-School for more information.

 

Access

Just a reminder that parents and guardians are not permitted to park in the Lower School grounds and that access to Pre-School is via the side gate.

  

Snow Closures

 

In the event of the Pre-School closing due to severe weather you will be contacted by telephone.

 

You can now also sign up to Central Bedfordshire Council’s SOS messaging system which will automatically email those registered if the Lower School site (and therefore the Pre-School) has to close.

 

To register go to www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/webapps/SOS click on register for updates and select school Silsoe VC (Lower).

 

Finally we would be grateful if you could encourage children to wait in the Pre-School side of the playground prior to 9am, as our Acorn neighbours are already in class.
