Our Staff

Karen joined Silsoe Pre-School in 2019 with a passion for early years education and the strong belief that positive early years experiences can support children to become confident future learners. She leads the team to plan a curriculum that follows the children's interests, is engaging and to create a learning environment that is inclusive, welcoming and fun.

Karen has the following qualifications:

• NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
• Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Paediatric First Aid
• Level 3 Safeguarding

Ann-Marie has had the full Pre-School experience having begun her journey with us as a parent and a voluntary member of our Pre-School Management Committee, she joined our team in 2023 and is passionate about getting to know each child and supporting them to become the best version of themselves.

Lynda joined the team in 2006 and has celebrated her 20 year Pre-School anniversary!  With all that experience, Lynda brings with her the following qualifications:

• NVQ2 Childcare, Learning & Development
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Level 3 Safeguarding Children

Carlene joined the team in 2018 after gaining a wealth of experience working as a volunteer with early years children. Carlene has the following qualifications:

• Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young Peoples Workforce
• Level 3 Safeguarding 
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate

Ann-Marie is extremely creative and loves making things with the children and dressing up. She joined the team in September 2013 and has the following qualifications:

Haley joined Pre-School in 2022 as an early years educator and is a qualified SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator).  She is passionate about supporting children with SEND and their families, and in exploring how all children can have the best introduction to their education. She has a wealth of experience as a support worker caring for young people with learning disabilities.

Bethany is an experienced Early Years Educator and a qualified PANCO (Physical and Nutrition Co-Ordinator). She is passionate in supporting and advocating for children's Mental Health and wellbeing. Bethany plans and co-ordinates our weekly wellbeing initiatives with the children leading activities such as yoga, activities supporting emotional regulation, healthy eating and oral health.

We are pleased to welcome Sally to the team as our SEN 1:1 Educator. Sally will be working across both classrooms supporting children with Special Education Needs.

Frances has joined the Pre-School as our administrator with a background in business administration and a passion for supporting children in their early years.
